Henogen was created in 1999 at Charleroi, Belgium, as an integrated bioengineering company active in the development and clinical validation of new biotech products for human health.Henogen can accompany new partners and customers through the process development, cGMP production and phase I/II clinical trials of their new biotherapeutics. The early 2003 acquisition of 4C Biotech, a contract biomanufacturer dedicated to the development of high density mammalian cell culture processes has extended the service offer to the large scale cGMP production of monoclonal antibodies. Today, the 70 people-strong company offers two R&D and production sites featuring 3000 m2 facilities, including 700 m2 GMP certified BL2 & BL3 suites, a park of 25 fermentors & bioreactors ranging from 3L up to 300L as well as full DSP tools, supervised by experienced QA & QC departments .
