NV, spun off by the Belgian biotechnology
company Innogenetics NV, is a biopharmaceutical
company that develops immune therapeutics to cure
and prevent human diseases by optimizing the immune
response.
The
company is focused on the development of a
broad portfolio of therapeutic vaccines and
monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of
intractable chronic infectious diseases.
GENimmune
is currently developing novel therapeutic vaccines
against chronic diseases caused by the hepatitis B
(HBV) and hepatitis C (HCV) viruses, as well as
against the human papillomavirus (HPV), the cause
of cervical cancer.
GENimmune
is supported by a state of the art biomanufacturing
unit that not only provides CMO services, but can
also engage in co-development projects and
biomanufacturing partnerships.
The
biomanufacturing unit, a biosafety level 2
facility, is specialized in the production of
recombinant proteins, pDNA and viruses, and is
offering formulation and filling services for drugs
and live vaccines requiring a high degree of
containment (BL-2).
